Wanani Gradi Mariadi

Wanani Gradi Mariadi was born in Roubaix, France in 1990. His parents are Congolese. During his childhood, he listened to American hip-hop artists like 50 Cent, DMX and Ja Rule, and to French artists like MC Solaar and Stomy Bugsy. Before beginning his musical career, he joined the French army, where he served for 3 years. He obtained a bachelor's degree as a senior technician in business management. Later, he resumed his interest in hip-hop. He joined the groups Rap 59 and Sheguey Squad. In 2015, he began his solo career under the name Gradur. He explores gangsta rap and trap. He shows a strong connection to his origins, as shown in the song R.D.C. He created the humanitarian association Enfant Sheguey du Congo, which promotes support for children and young people in Brazzaville.
